Suggest remove zoom buttons in image viewer for mobile devices with touchscreen simply rotate to only one button.

100% of iOS and Android users will use pitch to zoom in and out.
Maybe iPad users with a keyboard and attached trackpad/mouse will use dedicated buttons.

But for iOS and Android users it is recommended that the zoom buttons are removed.
Some other suggestions as well like simplify rotate button and change the icon and move the X button the far left following mobile UI standards/best practices.

yea, agreed. However, I do want to keep the zoom in/out buttons for various reasons, primarily accessibility. I can use the "square plus curved arrow"-style icon for rotation, that seems to be the more modern icon variant.

And then for the "reset" button, I had an idea yesterday. What it actually does is maximize the image to fill the current window size, so we can change the icon to be that, which is much clearer than trying to convey a "reset" operation. Something like this:
